1:06:06 AM: Arrived at Christ Hospital

1:13:27 AM: Nurses learning the new computer system

1:44:26 AM: Waiting one hour to see progress

3:48:16 AM: Admitted

4:27:47 AM: Settling into our room

5:00:58 AM: Epidural is in, pretty sure the anesthesiologist is Lisa’s favorite person ever

5:13:56 AM: Ice chips and pain killers… Breakfast of champions http://twitpic.com/4gyyx

5:44:49 AM: Our hydrogen and oxygen are not functioning properly (it sounded creepy to just say “water broke”)

5:50:12 AM: Lisa is getting her first sleep of the night

7:01:51 AM: Cincinnati morning view from our room http://twitpic.com/4h1zm

7:11:22 AM: Just found all of the free on-demand movies on our TV. Harry Potter 5 anyone?

7:44:44 AM: Lisa is making good progress, 6 cm.

8:57:13 AM: 8.5 cm, getting closer

8:58:06 AM: They are checking back in one hour to see if it is time to start pushing

9:04:19 AM: According to the status board, Lisa is winning the labor race against the other people here…yes, it’s a competition

9:09:50 AM: They prepped the baby crib/clean-up/measuring/etc. station. And by prepped, I mean they put a table-cloth down. http://twitpic.com/4h6hv

9:12:21 AM: That spike would not have been pleasant, apparently the epidural is working, Lisa slept right through it. http://twitpic.com/4h6ll

9:16:15 AM: I am tempted to push the ‘secrecy’ button, just to see if men in suits and sunglasses show up. http://twitpic.com/4h6rs

9:41:23 AM: Dr. Sighting – Dr. Roberts stopped by to see how thing are going. Lisa is happy it will be her.

10:00:00 AM: 9.5 cm, .5 to go

10:47:32 AM: Why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? Our monitor printer Is beeping at us.

11:53:50 AM: It is time, starting to push

2:32:37 PM: After 24 hours of labor (12 at the hospital, 2 pushing), we have a healthy 8 lb girl

3:03:58 PM: More details – 21 inches, a full head of dark brown hair, very alert and calm

3:05:17 PM: Disregard the ‘calm’, she apparently hates getting a bath

3:18:16 PM: She had a long morning http://twitpic.com/4hvzl
