Unorganized Baby

Apparently I am going to have to work very hard to get Lillian to appreciate the wonder of an organized room. Perhaps I’ll drop her off at Container Store a few times every week so that she can explore the many different ways that organization can be achieved.
photo-1I just don’t know where I went wrong on instilling this value. How can she not appreciate the three baskets underneath her changing pad that match her bedding?! How can she not appreciate that the diapers are separated by type (day and night)? Has she not noticed that her clothing is organized by type of top (plain shirt or onesie, and then by sleeve length)? Surely she can see her many books arranged in height order! I recall her often crawling around underneath my closet – HOW COULD SHE NOT APPRECIATE MY CLOSET?! The care that went into its design so that each item would have the perfect place and could be arranged in a color coded manner and sorted by item type. I have some serious skills to teach this little one!
