Baby Proof TV Stand

photo-1
It may not look like much at first glance, but if you look closer, you will notice a sheet of plexiglass covering the bottom of the TV stand and held up with velcro. Yep, I did that! Even at Lowe’s, Lillian attracts A TON of attention! I bought a sheet of plexiglass, cut it to size, added the velcro, and VOILA! Now she can see herself in the plexiglass and will wave at her reflection. She also likes to kick it.

I’ve become quite creative in babyproofing this 100+ year old house. Because of its age, the walls aren’t exactly straight up and down, so securing baby gates can get interesting. The latest gate that I installed downstairs fit on the bottom but didn’t touch either wall on the top so I stuck dish towels in the gaps and, for now, it works!

What a great idea. Bea always manages to get into the TV stand…

Genius! We will have to do that with our TV stand too. Our’s is a lot like yours. Keep your notes for me.

Out of curiosity, how do you put dvds etc into it? Not only that, but does the remote signal work through it? Oo

I used small square velcro pieces to adhere the sheet to the stand so it could easily be removed at any time. The remotes worked through the sheet just fine!
